Compromise Agreements
If an employee is leaving the organisation on mutually agreed terms, the law requires a Compromise Agreement to be entered into otherwise any agreement between employer and employee is unenforceable.
The employee must be given independent legal advice and be specifically advised that the right to make a claim to an Employment Tribunal is given up when the agreement is signed. We can advise on all aspects of Compromise Agreements and the fees involved range between £250 and £500 + VAT depending on the complexity of the agreement.
