Redundancy
We can help you...
Please contact us for advice on voluntary or compulsory redundancy.
If you have agreed to take redundancy your employer will ask you to sign a Compromise Agreement. You must be given legal advice for the agreement to be valid. Your employers will usually pay the legal costs involved in taking advice.
If you have selected for redundancy and you think your selection may have been unfair, you should contact us straight away for advice. The redundancy has to be genuine - for example, your employer may have lost a major customer or may be closing an office or outsourcing work previously done within the organisation. Your selection must be objectively fair. Your employer must operate a fair selection procedure and must give you as much notice as possible and consider whether or not there is any other position within the organisation which you may be suitable for.
